I enjoy creating bold and colourful artwork. I’m inspired by the Yorkshire Moors, wildlife and the Dales.
I’m a fine art graduate, no longer teaching art but practising it full time in my Yorkshire studio. I produce original work in acrylics, ink and oils for individuals, galleries and exhibitions.
I value mistakes and experimentation. Everything I do is a springboard to new learning.
I find experimenting with mixed media fascinating. For example, lino cut prints under thin layers of oil paint.
Some of my influences are other artists’ work on Instagram, artist friends at our monthly studio day in Foston, Buddhist Mandalas, Klimt, O’Keeffe, Hundertwasser and the natural world around me in all its forms.
