Red Poppies

The week has been really busy –   Haven’t forgotten about the Reflect.. series and completed Reflect on Red in several giclee versions. I also finished the salt sprinkled Red Poppies which you see here.  This salt technique affected how subsequent ink and water soluble crayon ‘lay’ on the surface.  I also produced around 6 giclee prints experimenting with different paper surfaces and I have just received an order for some Matt Archival thick paper which I am going to print straight onto to make my decorative tiles.  This week I have made 10 decorative tiles sandwiching 3 card thicknesses together and using string, rafia or wool as hangers.  I’ve got to perfect the edges yet but hey, I said I was busy!

By the way if you’re ever in Hornsea Freeport, East Yorkshire and fancy a look in Will’s Farm Kitchen, where I showed the manager my work yesterday, it’s fab. It sells local produce and local art work from cushions to cards.  Worth a browse and the coffee’s good too.
