More stonework in the shape of Mercury in Burton Agnes Gardens.  Once again I have so enjoyed the lichen and subtle hues of pale blues, greys, creams and whites on the stippled stonework.  I am looking forward to exhibiting with Driffield Art Club in the Autumn and really need to get about 10 originals framed.

I’ve been messing about!  Generally messing about in my garden and with my other interests such as walking and trying out my new lightweight leather walking boots along the Cleveland Way.  But also messing about with machine sewing, applique and images from my garden which I am proud of: white lilies with orange stamens, delphiniums, echinaceas and lace-cap white hydrangeas.  When I’ve finished ‘playing’ with the mixed media of textiles, paint and ink, I might upload some completed pieces for my website or, as I seem to have been doing this month, carry on messing about!
